In Pics: Egypt’s Catholic Churches celebrate Christmas, hold masses

Egypt’s Coptic Catholic Churches celebrated Christmas according to the Western calendar, Sunday as the churches held masses all over the country with the participation of church leaders, and the presence of representatives of the President, along with several officials, ministers and public figures.

Patriarch of Alexandria Ibrahim Isaac presided over the Christmas Mass at the Cathedral of the Blessed Virgin Mary, in Nasr City.

Delivering a speech, Isaac greeted the Egyptian people on the occasion of Christmas, congratulating Egypt on holding the UN COP27.

He prayed for Egypt and President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, wishing him health.

Pontiffs, statesmen, representatives of Al Azhar and public figures attended the mass.
