IMCTC Hosts Malaysian Defense Delegation for Strategic Discussions

Riyadh: Deputy Secretary General (Policy) of Malaysia's Ministry of Defence, Mohd Yani Bin Daud, accompanied by a delegation, visited the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC) headquarters. They were welcomed by IMCTC Secretary General, Maj. Gen. Mohammed Al-Moghedi, marking a significant diplomatic engagement aimed at enhancing counter-terrorism cooperation.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the meeting focused on exploring avenues to boost collaboration between the IMCTC and the Malaysian Ministry of Defense. Discussions centered on the exchange of expertise in combating terrorism and extremism and the development of joint training programs and initiatives. The Malaysian official commended the IMCTC's role in unifying member states' efforts to tackle security and ideological threats posed by terrorism, expressing Malaysia's intent to deepen cooperation with the coalition.

Maj. Gen. Al-Moghedi praised Malaysia's active engagement in the coalition's initiatives and highlighted the importance of the visit in strengthening partnerships and expertise exchange to bolster international peace and security.

The visit concluded with a tour of the IMCTC headquarters, where the delegation was briefed on the coalition's initiatives in ideology, media, counter-terrorism financing, and military cooperation, along with its strategic initiatives and training programs designed to support member states.
