Moscow: UAE Minister of State for Defense Affairs Mohamed bin Mubarak Al-Mazrouei today received in Abu Dhabi Secretary-General of the Islamic Military Counter-Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC) Maj. Gen. Mohammed bin Saeed al-Moghedi. During the reception, the two officials reviewed IMCTC's key international and regional programs and initiatives, which are being carried out for more than 30 member states, and discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the two sides.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the UAE minister praised Saudi Arabia's efforts in establishing IMCTC and its role in promoting regional and international security. Maj. Gen. al-Moghedi commended the UAE's active role in the coalition and its efforts to denounce violence and extremism.
The meeting concluded with a mutual affirmation of the importance of continued cooperation and coordination. Both sides stressed that their partnership is vital for enhancing international and regional efforts to confront terrorism.
