Mal©: Imam of the Prophet's Mosque Sheikh Dr. Salah Al Budair met yesterday with Minister of Islamic Affairs of Maldives Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed. During the meeting, held at the ministry headquarters in the capital Mal©, the two sides discussed ways to enhance cooperation in the Islamic field, as well as the exchange of expertise to serve Islamic action, promote moderation, and support the development of educational programs.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Saeed praised the efforts of Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance in serving Islam and Muslims in his country. He also expressed his gratitude for the arrival of more than 25,000 copies of the Holy Qur'an in the Maldives.
As part of the visit, Sheikh Al Budair also met with President of the Supreme Council for Fatwa in the Maldives Dr. Mohamed Rasheed Ibrahim, and several council members. The meeting included discussions on several dawah-related topics, ways to boost scholarly cooperation, and the coordination of joint efforts to serve Muslim communities and reinforce the values of coexistence and moderation.
