Dammam: Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University in Dammam has launched a higher diploma program in museum studies in collaboration with SOAS University of London, as a strategic step aimed at advancing museum knowledge and qualifying a generation of specialists in preserving and displaying national heritage.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Dean of the College of Arts at Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University Dr. Mashael Al-Akli stressed that the launch of the program reflects the university's commitment to developing specialized academic programs, fostering international cooperation, and enhancing the capabilities of Saudis in museum work and the cultural sector.
The program, the first of its kind in the Kingdom, is funded by the Museums Commission and aims to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to work in the museum sector.
