Riyadh: The Imam Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Royal Reserve Development Authority is scheduled to organize the Sustainable Tourism Forum on Wednesday, October 1, with the participation of experts from government, private, and nonprofit sectors, to highlight tourism's role in achieving Saudi Vision 2030 targets.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the forum will feature three main sessions focusing on exchanging perspectives on promoting sustainable practices in ecotourism, the role of education, media, and modern technologies in advancing sustainability, and pathways for shaping a sustainable tourism future.
Nine speakers will showcase national policies and initiatives in sustainable tourism, addressing mechanisms to transform destinations into integrated experiences that enhance national identity, leverage cultural assets, and engage local communities.
The authority aims to promote sustainable ecotourism and develop natural destinations in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 by creating integrated experiences that reflect national identity, empower local community participation, and preserve environmental resources, thereby ensuring a balance between development and sustainability for future generations.
