Riyadh: Executive Director of the International Dates Council (IDC) Princess Sarah bint Bandar bin Abdulaziz yesterday held a meeting with Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation of the Arab Republic of Egypt Alaa Farouk. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the fifth session of IDC members' council in Riyadh.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the two sides discussed opportunities to enhance cooperation in manufacturing, cultivation, varietal development, and statistical data supporting the sector. The discussions also addressed ways to empower youth in the date sector, explored establishing a business incubator, and emphasized the importance of creating a vocational institute to help develop and qualify agricultural professionals.
