ICD Signs £20 Million Financing Agreement with Cameroon

Yaound©: The Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector (ICD), a member of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group, has signed a financing agreement with AFG Bank Cameroon. This agreement aims to provide Sharia-compliant financing facilities valued at £20 million to bolster the growth of small and medium enterprises in Cameroon, Gabon, and Chad, with a focus on the agriculture, transport, energy, and healthcare sectors.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the initiative is expected to generate over 2,200 job opportunities, including significant opportunities for women. This collaboration marks ICD's first strategic partnership with AFG Bank Cameroon and underscores ICD's dedication to fostering sustainable development through Islamic finance instruments. This commitment aligns with the IsDB Group's vision of promoting development across its 57 member countries.
