Some 270 Palestinian patients were forced out of the European Hospital in Gaza's Khan Younis after Israeli orders, according to the World Health Organisation (WHO). WHO representative in the Occupied Palestinian Territories Richard Peeperkorn told journalists Tuesday in Geneva, "But as witnessed several times during the ongoing war, insecurity in a hospital's proximity and lack of access for patients, health workers and humanitarians to resupply fuel, medical supplies, water and food can make hospitals non-functional very quickly." Peeperkorn said 270 patients and medical staff self-evicted the hospital on Monday, adding that evacuation continued Tuesday morning with the help of the Palestinian Health Ministry. He explained that only three patients remain in the hospital and three others in the International Red Cross Committee (IRCC) field hospital. Source: Jordan News Agency
