Egypt reiterated Thursday 30/7/2020 its commitment to fighting human trafficking and illegal migration crimes in view of its recent national laws relevant to combating both crimes.
In a statement marking the World Day against Trafficking in Persons, the Foreign Ministry said that since September 2016, no single illegal immigration ship was detected from the Egyptian coasts .
The Foreign Ministry also hailed the unique role played by its Cairo International Center for Conflict Resolution, Peacekeeping and Peacebuilding (CCCPA) in training the African and national cadres on fighting human trafficking.
Egypt also is about to finish preparing the first shelter for victims of human trafficking, the statement added.
The World Day Against Trafficking in Persons is observed on July 30 every year in a clear message for solidarity with the innocent victims of the human trafficking gangs, it added.
