Riyadh: The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has announced the launch of a comprehensive general policy for youth development in Saudi Arabia. This national framework underscores the Kingdom's dedication to empowering its younger generation and enhancing their role in social development, aligning with the strategic goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the newly introduced policy aims to unify national efforts concerning youth development. It seeks to achieve optimal integration among government bodies, private sector participants, and nonprofit organizations. This collaborative approach is intended to foster a motivating and sustainable environment that enhances young people's capacity to contribute to the Kingdom's progress and prosperity.
The policy's focus spans several critical areas, including economic empowerment, community involvement, education and lifelong learning, health and well-being, as well as identity and national belonging. These focus areas are designed to holistically address the needs and aspirations of the youth.
In developing the policy, the ministry conducted benchmarking exercises with 20 leading nations in youth development. Additionally, it organized over 34 workshops involving relevant stakeholders, engaged in consultations with local and international experts, and conducted field surveys with more than 11,000 young men and women across various regions of the Kingdom.
The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development emphasizes its commitment to youth, aiming to craft policies and programs that bolster their national participation in alignment with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
