Riyadh: The Skills and Training Agency at the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development held a workshop today to monitor and anticipate future skills in the labor markets of Gulf countries.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the two-day workshop features the participation of the International Labour Organization and aims to gather insights from Arab Gulf countries on skills foresight frameworks. It seeks to compile a comprehensive report detailing their practices and leading international experiences in monitoring and forecasting labor market skills, with the goal of understanding future skill requirements and expectations.
The workshop is being conducted under the Kingdom's presidency of the Gulf Skills Team, which oversees workforce development initiatives for Gulf countries. This initiative aligns with the objectives of the Committee of Ministers of Labor's strategy for 2024-2029.
