Riyadh: In 2025, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development achieved numerous milestones and received awards at the national, regional, and international levels. The number of Saudi nationals in the private sector rose to 2.5 million, contributing to a reduction in the unemployment rate to 7.5% and highlighting positive progress in the labor market toward national goals.
According to Saudi Press Agency, over the past year, the ministry issued more than 30 decisions to Saudize over 600 professions in specialized fields, including engineering, accounting, pharmacy, and dentistry. These measures aimed to enhance national competencies in the labor market, resulting in an increase in the proportion of Saudis employed in certain professions by over 100% and, in some cases, up to 300%.
The Professional Accreditation Program enhanced the efficiency of expatriate workers across more than 160 countries and over 1,000 professions worldwide, ensuring that all workers possess the skills required to meet the demands of the Saudi labor market.
The ministry, together with its platforms Qiwa and Musaned, received eight international awards at the International Customer Experience Awards 2025. It also obtained ISO 30401 certification for its Knowledge Management System and ISO 10002 certification for Customer Satisfaction and Complaints Management.
