Human Resources and Health Ministries Announce Phase Two of Saudization in Healthcare

Riyadh: The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, in partnership with the Ministry of Health, has announced the implementation of the second phase of the decision to increase Saudization rates for four healthcare professions in the private sector, which will take effect from October 17, 2025.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the decision significantly raises the Saudization rate for key healthcare professions. The targets are set at 80% for therapeutic nutrition and physiotherapy, 70% for medical laboratories, and 65% for radiology. Additionally, a minimum monthly wage of SAR7,000 for specialists and SAR5,000 for technicians has been established.

This initiative is part of the two ministries' efforts to enhance the participation of national competencies and provide stimulating job opportunities for citizens across the Kingdom. It aims to support the objectives of the labor market strategy and the Health Sector Transformation Program.

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has made procedural guidelines available on its website to clarify the decision's details. It has urged all establishments to adhere to its provisions to avoid imposed legal penalties.
