Jeddah: Jeddah Municipality is intensifying its efforts to adopt a human-centered approach through the 'Bahja' project-one of its flagship initiatives aimed at enhancing quality of life by transforming open and underutilized spaces into vibrant urban parks. The initiative supports healthier lifestyles and enhances residents' well-being, in alignment with the Quality of Life Program under Saudi Vision 2030.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Municipality Spokesperson Mohammed Al-Buqami stated the project is guided by several strategic objectives, including strengthening the connection between people and their surroundings, promoting the concept of healthy cities, increasing opportunities for physical activity, and creating public spaces which reflect local identity.

He added that the Bahja project includes the development of five waterfronts and more than 442 parks across the city, which have become popular destinations for families and community events. Additionally, walking paths equipped with comprehensive services and safety features have been introduced, fostering active lifestyles and encouraging community engagement.
