AlUla: His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, led the Cabinet session held today in AlUla. The session showcased a strong emphasis on international relations and strategic partnerships.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the Cabinet received a briefing on HRH the Crown Prince's recent phone call with French President Emmanuel Macron. The discussion focused on enhancing bilateral relations and exploring new avenues for cooperation. The establishment of the Saudi-Singapore Strategic Partnership Council and the first meeting of the Saudi-Thai Coordination Council were highlighted as key developments in strengthening global partnerships.
Minister of Media Salman Al-Dossary reported that the Cabinet also reviewed recent regional and international events, extending congratulations to President Donald J. Trump on his inauguration and acknowledging the robust Saudi-US relations. Additionally, the Cabinet expressed hope that the Gaza Strip ceasefire would help end Israeli aggression and facilitate the establishment of an independent Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders.
The outcomes of several international conferences hosted by the Kingdom were reviewed, including the Hajj Conference and Exhibition, which underscored Saudi Arabia's commitment to serving pilgrims. The Kingdom welcomed over 18 million international pilgrims in 2024 and continues to improve service quality for visitors.
Al-Dossary noted significant global participation in the fourth Future Minerals Forum, which saw the signing of 126 agreements worth SAR107 billion. The Cabinet also assessed performance indicators across sectors, commending achievements in agriculture and water projects that contribute to food and water security.
The Cabinet addressed various agenda items and issued several decisions, including authorizations for memorandums of understanding with countries such as Italy, China, Tajikistan, Mongolia, and Kuwait, among others. These agreements span areas like sports, civil defense, Islamic affairs, nature reserves, virtual health, and intellectual property. The Cabinet's decisions reflect a commitment to fostering international cooperation across diverse fields.
