Riyadh: His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today welcomed Islamic Republic of Pakistan Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif at the Royal Court in Al-Yamamah Palace. An official reception ceremony was held in honor of the visiting prime minister.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the official meeting began with HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif inspecting the Guard of Honor. Following this, the leaders engaged in an official session of talks that focused on strengthening the close relations between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. The discussions aimed at enhancing the strategic partnership between the two nations across various fields.
The two leaders also exchanged views on regional and international developments, and discussed issues of mutual interest. Their dialogue emphasized efforts towards achieving security and stability in the region. Following the talks, HRH the Crown Prince hosted an official luncheon to honor Prime Minister Sharif.
The visit concluded with the signing of a Strategic Mutual Defense Agreement between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, marking a significant step in defense cooperation. Prime Minister Sharif then departed the Royal Court, where HRH the Crown Prince bade him farewell.
