HRH the Crown Prince and Indonesia’s President Engage in Bilateral Talks and Co-Chair Inaugural Coordination Council Meeting

Jeddah: His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, extended a warm welcome to the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, at Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah on Wednesday. A formal reception ceremony marked the beginning of the president's visit to the Kingdom. According to Saudi Press Agency, HRH the Crown Prince held an official session of talks with President Subianto, where both leaders expressed mutual satisfaction with the meeting. The discussions centered on the bilateral relations between Saudi Arabia and Indonesia, exploring the potential for cooperation in various fields and strategies to strengthen ties. The dialogue also included deliberations on current regional and international issues and the collaborative efforts to address them, along with matters of shared interest. Subsequent to the talks, HRH the Crown Prince and President Subianto co-chaired the first meeting of the Saudi-Indonesian Supreme Coordination Council and si gned the meeting's minutes. The council meeting focused on several key issues, with participation from council members. The Saudi delegation at the talks and the council meeting comprised numerous high-ranking officials, including Minister of Energy Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Makkah Region Prince Saud bin Mishal bin Abdulaziz, and several other ministers and advisors. Saudi Ambassador to Indonesia Faisal Al-Amudi was also in attendance. On the Indonesian side, the delegation included Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs Zulkifli Hasan, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono, and other prominent ministers and officials. The Indonesian Ambassador to the Kingdom, Dr. Abdul Aziz Ahmad, and other officials were present to represent Indonesia in the discussions.
