Riyadh: His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, engaged in a phone call today with President Emmanuel Macron of the French Republic. During the conversation, they reviewed the outcomes of the High-Level International Conference on the Peaceful Settlement of the Question of Palestine and the Implementation of the Two-State Solution, which was co-chaired by Saudi Arabia and France.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the discussion also focused on preparations for resuming the conference at the summit level on September 22, 2025. This initiative aims to support efforts to end the conflict in Gaza and achieve peace, ultimately leading to the establishment of a Palestinian state.
Both leaders praised the United Nations General Assembly's adoption of the New York Declaration issued by the conference, which received overwhelming support. They also noted the increasing number of nations expressing their intention to recognize the State of Palestine, signaling a growing international consensus for a peaceful future that would enable Palestinians to establish an independent state.
