Jeddah: His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, met in Jeddah with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi of Egypt.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the meeting began with the exchange of Eid Al-Fitr greetings between the Crown Prince and the Egyptian President. They prayed for Allah Almighty to accept everyone's good deeds and expressed hopes for continued progress and prosperity for their nations and the Islamic world.
The discussions focused on regional developments, particularly the military escalation in the Middle East and its effects on global security. Both leaders emphasized the importance of coordination in addressing these issues.
The meeting highlighted concerns over the repeated hostile Iranian attacks on Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and the targeting of vital civilian facilities. President El-Sisi confirmed Egypt's condemnation of these attacks and reiterated support for Saudi Arabia's sovereignty and security.
HRH the Crown Prince expressed gratitude to Egypt for its solidarity and unwavering support for Saudi Arabia, acknowledging Egypt's consistent backing of GCC countries. This support aligns with Egypt's historical role in supporting the Gulf and Arab nations.
The meeting was attended by several key officials, including Minister of State Dr. Essam bin Saeed, Advisor Mohammed bin Mazyad Al-Tuwaijri, and Saudi Ambassador to Egypt Saleh Al-Husseini, among others. On the Egyptian side, officials included Minister Dr. Badr Abdelatty.
