Geneva: Minister of Municipalities and Housing Majed Al-Hogail met with Head of the Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Education and Research of Switzerland, Federal Councillor Guy Parmelin, during an official visit to Switzerland. The discussions focused on enhancing cooperation in sustainable construction, urban development, and modern technologies.
According to Saudi Press Agency, both sides examined collaboration in sustainable housing policies, smart construction, and urban development. They also explored frameworks for exchanging expertise and building partnerships that support Saudi Arabia's efforts to improve the municipal and real estate sectors. These efforts are aimed at achieving urban development goals under Saudi Vision 2030.
Minister Al-Hogail also held discussions with President of the Swiss Constructors Association, Gian-Luca Lardi. The talks centered on advanced construction and modern technologies, including prefabricated construction and digital transformation in the construction sector. These discussions are part of the ministry's strategy to develop the urban environment and enhance the quality of life in Saudi cities.
These meetings are part of Al-Hogail's official visit to Switzerland and represent ongoing efforts to strengthen international partnerships.
