Holy Makkah Municipality Enhances Environmental Sanitation Efforts to Improve Services

Makkah: The Holy Makkah Municipality has intensified its environmental sanitation efforts as part of a well-organized field plan aimed at addressing pollution hotspots in neighborhoods across Makkah to enhance environmental services.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the municipality reported that a total of 7,482 locations were targeted in field control operations from June 29 to July 5. These operations included 4,516 locations focused on eliminating mosquito breeding sites, 2,425 locations treated to reduce fly density, and 541 locations where rodent-infested areas were addressed. Additionally, 474 water accumulation sites were identified and treated, all within the municipality's environmental protection operations.

The municipality emphasized its continued implementation of environmental sanitation plans through a field-based methodology focused on monitoring and rapid response. This approach contributes to a healthier and safer environment while improving the quality of services provided to Makkah's residents and visitors.
