Jeddah: Historic Jeddah's ancient alleyways and traditional houses are currently reviving the authentic spirit of Hijazi heritage through vibrant social and spiritual Ramadan scenes.
According to Saudi Press Agency, resident and tour guide Bandar Al-Harbi recounted how the community traditionally welcomes the month with lanterns and the iconic Ramadan cannon, shifting into a month of harmony where families gather for iftar and neighbors exchange dishes to strengthen social bonds.
After Taraweeh prayers, the district's squares come alive with traditional games like carrom and marbles. Modern cultural workshops and handicraft displays help ensure that these generational customs, centered on worship, kinship, and solidarity, continue to connect new generations to their cultural identity.
