HH the Amir Cup Final 2023: Organizing Committee Discusses Latest Preparations, Unveils Technical Details

The Local Organizing Committee of HH the Amir Football Cup Final revealed the technical details on the organization of the sporting event at Ahmed bin Ali Stadium between Al Arabi and Al Sadd teams on Friday that will see the gathering of the most crowned footballers in the cup.

During a press conference held at Ahmed bin Ali Stadium, the organizing committee discussed the preparations for the final, including all logistical matters related to the final and fans’ commuting via Doha Metro until reaching the stadium.

The committee set a potential plan to close the road surrounding the stadium and discussed security preparations and plans of fans’ exit and entry.

For his part, Director of Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium Ahmad Al Qatami confirmed that the stadium is fully ready to host the final on Friday, stressing the importance of fans’ adherence to the instructions issued by the organizing committee. He added that the committee intends to facilitate entry to the stadium in the final day, while all plans of roads closure will be coordinated with the Traffic Department.

He urged the masses to arrive at the stadium early before the match starts, emphasizing that the stadium is fully ready to host the 51st edition final, and all doors will be opened for fans starting from 4 pm, while the match will begin at 7 pm.

The security and safety of fans are of top priority, and all essential preparations have been made in coordination with the relevant entities to facilitate procedures for fans, Al Qatami said.

Security commander of the tournament Chief Major Mohammed Omar Al Shahwani said he is confident the final will be a distinguished event, adding that the achievement of security and safety in these games requires full cooperation from all through pursuing the proper measures and adhering to security procedures, urging the fans to come early to the game to avoid potential traffic congestion and adhere to the instructions posted on the stadium’s walls.

Traffic patrols will be operating there to secure the traffic flow in various intersections around the stadiums, he said.
