Jazan: The National Center for Meteorology has issued a forecast indicating heavy thundershowers that could lead to flash floods in the regions of Jazan, Aseer, and Al-Baha. These weather conditions are expected to be accompanied by hail and winds that may stir up dust.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the forecast also highlights the possibility of moderate to heavy rain in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, and Najran, with a chance of fog developing over the highlands in these areas. The weather pattern suggests significant precipitation and varying visibility conditions in these locales.
In terms of wind activity, the Red Sea will experience northwesterly to westerly winds in the northern region, with speeds ranging from 15 to 45 km/h. In the southern and central parts, the winds will shift to southerly to southwesterly, with speeds between 15 to 50 km/h. The sea conditions are expected to vary from calm to choppy, with wave heights ranging from half a meter to over two meters.
Over the Arabian Gulf, the winds will be predominantly northwesterly to westerly, maintaining speeds between 10 to 30 km/h. The sea is anticipated to remain calm, with wave heights between half a meter to one meter.
