Jeddah: The National Center for Meteorology has forecast moderate to heavy rain in several regions of Saudi Arabia, potentially leading to flash floods. Areas including Jazan, Aseer, Al-Baha, and Makkah are expected to experience these weather conditions, along with hail and dust-stirring winds. There is also a possibility of fog forming over parts of the highlands in these regions.
According to Saudi Press Agency, thunderstorms are anticipated to persist in parts of the Eastern and Najran regions. Additionally, dust-stirring winds are expected to affect parts of the Riyadh and Madinah regions, impacting visibility and potentially causing disruptions.
In terms of marine conditions, winds over the Red Sea are predicted to be northwesterly to northerly, with speeds ranging from 20 to 55 km/h. Wave heights could vary from one meter to two and a half meters, making the sea relatively calm to choppy. Similarly, in the Arabian Gulf, winds will blow from the northwest to west at speeds of 15 to 40 km/h, with wave heights between one and two meters, leading to calm to choppy sea conditions.
