Heavy Rain and Winds Expected Across Several Regions in Saudi Arabia

Riyadh: Moderate to heavy rain, potentially accompanied by hail and dust-stirring winds, is forecasted to impact multiple regions across Saudi Arabia.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the National Center for Meteorology has identified Jazan, Aseer, Al-Baha, Makkah, Madinah, Hail, Qassim, Riyadh, Eastern, and Northern Borders regions as areas likely to experience these weather conditions on Thursday.

Winds over the Red Sea are expected to vary. In the northern part, winds will blow from the northwest to north at speeds of 20-50 km/h. In the central part, winds will initially be southeasterly to southwesterly, shifting in the evening to westerly to northwesterly at speeds of 10-30 km/h. The sea conditions will range from relatively calm to waves measuring between half a meter to two meters.

In the Arabian Gulf, the forecast indicates northerly to northwesterly winds at speeds of 12-50 km/h. The sea state will vary from calm to choppy, with waves potentially reaching from half a meter to over two meters.
