Heavy Rain and Flash Floods Expected in Several Saudi Regions

Riyadh: Heavy rain leading to flash floods, accompanied by hail and dust-stirring winds, is anticipated in parts of Eastern, Riyadh, Madinah, Makkah, Al-Baha, and Aseer regions. Moderate to heavy rainfall is also forecast for the Northern Borders, Al-Jouf, Tabuk, Hail, Qassim, Jazan, and Najran regions.



According to Saudi Press Agency, there is a possibility of fog formation in parts of these areas, and snowfall may occur over sections of the highlands in the Tabuk Region. Winds over the Red Sea are expected to be northwesterly to westerly in the northern part and southwesterly to northwesterly in the central and southern parts, at speeds of 30-65 km/h. Waves could range from one and a half meters to over three meters, resulting in calm to choppy sea conditions.



In the Arabian Gulf, winds will likely be southeasterly to southerly at speeds of 25-60 km/h. Waves here are projected to range from one and a half meters to over two meters, and the sea is expected to be calm to choppy.
