Riyadh: The 2025 Annual Report of the Health Sector Transformation Program highlighted significant qualitative achievements reflecting the growing impact of Saudi Arabia's healthcare transformation since the launch of Vision 2030 and confirmed continued progress in building a more integrated and efficient healthcare ecosystem that places human health at its core. According to Saudi Press Agency, the report stated that life expectancy in the Kingdom rose to 79.7 years, approaching the Vision 2030 target of 80 years, reflecting improvements in public health indicators, preventive care, and healthier lifestyles. Primary healthcare coverage reached 97.5% of population clusters across all regions, including remote areas, improving access to healthcare services nationwide. In digital health transformation, over 31 million users benefited from the Sehhaty app, while the Seha Virtual Hospital expanded its services to more than 365,000 beneficiaries through a network of 241 connected healthcare facilities, enhancing access to specialized care across the Kingdom. The report also noted strong investment in national healthcare workforce capacity, with over 803,000 health practitioners and more than 35,000 physicians completing Saudi Board programs, strengthening service quality and readiness. In prevention and public health, Saudi Arabia achieved its 2030 target for health emergency readiness across regions at 92%, while traffic-related deaths declined by around 60% since the launch of Vision 2030. The report emphasized that these outcomes reflect a comprehensive transformation focused on prevention, efficiency, governance, and improved quality of life, ensuring a modern, sustainable healthcare system aligned with Vision 2030 goals.
