Riyadh: Under the patronage of Minister of Health Fahad AlJalajel, the Saudi Patient Safety Center honored the winners of the eighth National Patient Safety Award for pioneering projects that enhance patient safety and healthcare quality. According to Saudi Press Agency, AlJalajel emphasized the importance of expert-led national initiatives in embedding a culture of innovation and excellence, supported by Saudi Vision 2030's healthcare transformation goals. The eighth edition received over 3,000 competing projects across 10 tracks, evaluated by 36 local and international judges who selected nine winning initiatives. Applications for the ninth edition will open in October, continuing the award's mission to drive innovation, reduce medical harm, and expand safe practices throughout the healthcare system.
