Riyadh: Minister of Health and Chairman of the Board of the Health Holding Company Fahad AlJalajel on Monday launched the diabetes command-and-control center, the first of its kind in the world, allowing proactive and electronic tracking of the health indicators of diabetic patients. The launch took place during the first day of the eighth annual Global Health Exhibition, held at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center in Malham, north of Riyadh.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the Health Holding Company said that the diabetes command-and-control center enables proactive and digital monitoring of the vital signs of diabetic patients across the Kingdom. It enhances continuous follow-up of patients' health conditions and provides the necessary medical support to ensure effective disease management.
The company emphasized that the launch of the center reflects the Kingdom's commitment to advancing preventive healthcare and improving quality of life through innovative services that empower patients to manage their health efficiently and confidently. The initiative aligns with the Saudi Model of Care, which prioritizes prevention before treatment and places people at the center of care.
The control center also represents a key outcome of digital transformation in the healthcare sector. It aims to facilitate access to services and enable direct communication between doctors and beneficiaries, thereby reducing complications from chronic diseases and enhancing the overall effectiveness of healthcare responses.
