Jakarta: Minister of Health Fahad Al-Jalajel concluded a two-day official visit to Indonesia, where he engaged with several leading health institutions to enhance cooperation and exchange experiences in the healthcare sector.
According to Saudi Press Agency, during his visit to Biofarma, Indonesia's leading manufacturer of vaccines and biotechnology, the minister was briefed on the latest technologies used in developing and producing essential vaccines.
He also witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Arab Company for Pharmaceutical Products (Arabio) and Biofarma to strengthen cooperation in vaccine development, technology transfer, and the exchange of experiences in pharmaceutical manufacturing. This collaboration aims to contribute to regional and global health security, in line with the objectives of the National Biotechnology Strategy that seeks to localize vaccines and promote innovation in biotechnologies.
As part of the Kingdom's focus on advancing the nursing sector, the Minister visited the Bandung Health Polytechnic, which offers an international nursing training program, including Arabic-language tracks, reflecting the rapid advancements in health education in Indonesia.
