Gouda won the gold medal for teams with Egypt’s women team for table tennis in the African Table tennis Championships, which was held in Algeria, as well as the mixed doubles gold medal, along with Mohamed al-Baily.
Egyptian table tennis player, Dina Musharraf, also advanced 21 places in the world rankings of the game, as she occupied the 29th place after she was in the 50th place, thus becoming the first Egyptian, African and Arab player to reach this advanced position in the world rankings.
The table tennis national team won 14 different medals in the African Championships, including six gold, five silver and three bronze medals, most notably the men’s and women’s gold in team competitions, the mixed doubles gold, the men’s doubles gold, the women’s doubles gold.
Gouda, who is Al-Ahly Club and the Egyptian national team table tennis player, topped the world rankings for women under 15 years of age for the first time in January 2021, an unprecedented achievement by any Egyptian table tennis player.
She also advanced to the 12th place in the world rankings U-17, and the 21st place in the world rankings U-21.
Gouda began playing table tennis at the age of four, and recently won the Table Tennis International Championship in the U-12 and U-15 competitions in Portugal, and the bronze medal in the Intercontinental World Championship, in an unprecedented achievement in the history of table tennis in Egypt.
