Mina: The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance organized two awareness lectures today, Friday, after the Maghrib and Isha prayers at Al-Khaif Mosque in Mina. This is part of the da'wah program implemented during the Hajj season, with the aim of educating the Guests of God about the Islamic rulings and reinforcing the concepts of the correct rituals.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the first lecture, entitled "Hajj and the Blessing of Security," was presented by Sheikh Dr. Ahmed bin Hamad Al-Wanis, a faculty member at Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University. He addressed the aspects of the blessing of security enjoyed by the rituals in the Two Holy Mosques and the holy sites, which contribute to enabling pilgrims to perform their rituals with ease and safety. He explained that the gathering of millions of Muslims in one place without disturbance is one of the greatest blessings and reflects the fruits of the great efforts made by the state to serve the Guests of God.
The second lecture, titled "Following the Sunnah," was delivered by Sheikh Dr. Jibril bin Muhammad Al-Busaili, a member of the Council of Senior Scholars. He reviewed the importance of adhering to the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in performing the rituals and other acts of worship, emphasizing that adherence can only be achieved through knowledge and sincere intention, and warning against innovations and novelties.
These lectures are part of the Ministry's advocacy program, as part of its efforts to spread religious awareness and educate pilgrims on the rulings and etiquette of the rituals, according to a moderate approach derived from the Qur'an and the Sunnah.
