Hajj Pilgrims Benefit from Luggage Storage Services at Holy Mosques

General

Mecca: The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque has introduced luggage storage services for pilgrims visiting the House of God, facilitating an easier and more convenient ritual experience. Pilgrims can now store their belongings securely, allowing them to focus entirely on their spiritual journey.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Presidency has set up a system where luggage can be deposited at designated baggage drop-off centers or at drop-off points located at the main gates. The luggage is then stored on equipped shelves, under constant surveillance, ensuring its safety. This system also includes a thorough process of inspection and registration, where each piece of luggage is tagged with a bracelet containing the pilgrim's information. Upon collection, an electronic identification code is scanned to verify the data.

The luggage is stored securely and transported with care to guarantee maximum protection. The Presidency has identified four specific baggage drop-off centers: one located at the Western Square behind Restroom No. 6, another on Ajyad Street next to Restroom No. 1, a third at the Guest Care Center in the Western Square, and the last one next to the Makkah Library in the Eastern Square. These facilities operate continuously throughout the Hajj season, in addition to seven baggage collection points at the main gates, ensuring pilgrims have access to their belongings whenever needed.
