Riyadh: The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has announced the implementation of daily inspection tours aimed at enhancing the quality of services for Umrah performers and pilgrims. These inspections focus on monitoring adherence to regulatory and operational requirements, identifying areas for improvement, and ensuring compliance with established standards.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the ministry emphasizes that these efforts are integral to developing the Hajj and Umrah ecosystem. This initiative aligns with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 and the Pilgrim Experience Program. The ministry collaborates with relevant authorities to conduct these daily inspections at various Umrah service sites.
Since the commencement of the 1448 AH Umrah season on 15 Dhu Al-Hijjah 1447 AH, over 32,000 inspection tours have been carried out. These tours cover accommodation facilities, Umrah service companies, and other operational sites, focusing on regulatory compliance, addressing deficiencies, and improving service quality for visitors and Umrah performers.
In the previous Hajj season, the ministry, in coordination with relevant authorities, conducted more than 105,000 similar inspections. These inspections included checks on pilgrims' accommodations, service providers' offices, and field service centers to ensure compliance and resolve any outstanding issues.
These inspection tours form part of an ongoing monitoring system that evaluates service providers' performance, ensures compliance, addresses operational challenges, and promotes continuous improvement. The ministry's efforts aim to safeguard the rights of Umrah performers and pilgrims, enhancing their experience throughout their spiritual journey.
