Hail Municipality and IMD Collaborate on Smart City Project

Hail: Mayor of Hail Municipality Eng. Sultan bin Hamed Al-Zaidi met today with a delegation from the International Institute for Management Development (IMD) to present a project aimed at qualifying Hail for registration and classification on the IMD Smart City Index.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the meeting reviewed the project's objectives, which focus on transforming Hail into an integrated smart city that leverages modern technologies to manage municipal services and enhance digital infrastructure. The initiative aims to achieve sustainable urban development while aligning with Saudi Vision 2030 goals to build more efficient and innovative cities.

Discussions also addressed the importance of strengthening international partnerships to draw on global expertise in smart city management while preserving Hail's unique cultural and social heritage. The project aims to secure Hail's inclusion on the list of global smart cities, thereby enhancing its competitiveness and appeal for investment and tourism.

The municipality also intends to work with its partners to develop detailed plans that ensure the transformation meets the needs of the local community, creating an advanced and adaptable urban environment capable of responding to future challenges.
