Hail: The sixth stage of the 2026 Dakar Rally in Saudi Arabia launched today in Hail Region. The stage, which runs from Hail to Riyadh, was organized with the support of all relevant security and service agencies to ensure the highest safety standards for participants, organizers, and spectators.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the stage followed a rest day in Hail, during which competitors visited several landmarks and explored the region's unique natural and heritage attractions. The visits highlighted Hail's rich cultural legacy and its prominent position on the national tourism map.
The Dakar Rally, held in Saudi Arabia for the seventh consecutive year, is one of the most significant international sporting events hosted by the Kingdom. It contributes to boosting tourism and the economy, showcasing the Kingdom's organizational capabilities and diverse geographical and cultural regions, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
The 2026 Dakar Rally, being held from January 3 to 17, features 812 competitors, including 39 women, representing 69 nationalities. They are competing in 433 vehicles across various categories. The race covers a total distance of 7,994 kilometers, including 4,840 kilometers of timed special stages.
