Gusty Winds and Rain Expected in Parts of Saudi Arabia

Riyadh: Weather forecasts indicate that gusty winds and moderate to heavy rain, including hail, are expected in parts of Riyadh, Qassim, and Eastern regions. According to Saudi Press Agency, light rain is anticipated along with potential fog in the highlands of Makkah, Al-Baha, Aseer, and Jazan regions. Dust-stirring winds are projected to affect parts of Al-Jouf and Northern Borders regions. Over the Red Sea, winds will vary from northwesterly to northerly in the northern and central parts, with speeds ranging from 10-25 km/h, and southeasterly to southwesterly in the southern part, reaching speeds of 12-50 km/h. Wave heights are expected to range from half a meter to over two meters, with the sea conditions varying from calm to choppy. In the Arabian Gulf, the winds will shift from southeasterly to southerly in the northern and central parts, at speeds of 15-35 km/h, and northeasterly to easterly in the southern parts, at speeds of 12-50 km/h. Wave heights are also forecasted to be from half a meter to over two meters, contributing to calm to choppy sea conditions.
