Riyadh: Dust-stirring winds are set to sweep through parts of Madinah, Makkah, and Jazan regions this Friday. The National Center for Meteorology has forecasted these weather conditions, adding that gusty winds will also blow through Jazan, Aseer, and Al-Baha regions, with potential rainfall in these areas.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the Red Sea will experience northwesterly winds in the southern part at speeds ranging from 20 to 50 km/h. The waves are anticipated to range from one to over two meters, resulting in a sea state that will vary from calm to choppy conditions.
In the Arabian Gulf, the forecast suggests that the winds will shift from northwesterly to southwesterly at speeds between 15 to 45 km/h in the southern parts. The waves in this area are expected to be between half a meter to two meters. Consequently, the sea is likely to transition from calm to choppy throughout the day.
