Green Mosques Initiative Targets over 670 Mosques in Northern Borders Region

Riyadh: The Aman Environmental Association in Northern Borders Region: launched today the "green mosques" initiative, targeting several mosques in the region's cities and governorates. The initiative aims to raise environmental awareness and promote the role of mosques in promoting a culture of sustainability and conserving natural resources.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the targeted mosques include 322 in Arar, 220 in Rafha, and 122 in Tarif. The initiative aims to transform mosques into practical models for afforestation and green space conservation, contributing to the improvement of the urban landscape and raising community awareness of the importance of environmental conservation.

This initiative aligns with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 to enhance the quality of life and promote a sustainable environment. By integrating environmental practices within religious spaces, the Aman Environmental Association seeks to inspire the community to actively participate in environmental conservation efforts.
