According to Saudi Press Agency, scientifically classified within the Poaceae family, Stipa capensis typically reaches around 50 cm in height. This resilient plant thrives in Northern Borders Region's sandy terrains and plains, particularly flourishing in the prairies surrounding Arar. Its vibrant green appearance after the rainy season adds a striking visual element to the landscape.
Beyond its aesthetic appeal, Stipa capensis serves as a vital food source for livestock, especially camels and sheep, due to its high nutrient content.
