Grand Mosque Imam Urges Muslims to Seize Blessings of Ramadan at Friday Sermon

Makkah: During the Friday sermon at the Grand Mosque in Makkah today, Sheikh Maher Al-Muaiqly urged Muslims to prepare for the upcoming month of Ramadan through sincere repentance, increased charity, and a commitment to the Quran.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Sheikh Maher Al-Muaiqly emphasized that the true essence of fasting extends beyond abstaining from food and drink to disciplining one's speech and actions. He warned against missing the spiritual opportunities of the holy month and reminded the congregation that the ultimate goal of these acts of worship is to attain divine forgiveness and maintain lasting good deeds.
