Riyadh: Governor of Riyadh Region Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz inaugurated World Civil Defense Day activities via video conference, under the theme of a safe environment and a sustainable future.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the inauguration took place during a reception at the Qasr Al-Hukm for Civil Defense Department Director Brigadier Gen. Mohammad Abu Abah and departmental staff.
Prince Faisal emphasized the importance of educational programs in schools and on remote platforms, noting that awareness is crucial for prevention. He highlighted the value of participating in international observances that focus on community well-being.
Brigadier Gen. Abu Abah stated that World Civil Defense Day promotes safety and property protection, raises public awareness, and underscores the community's role in supporting Civil Defense efforts.
