Egyptian pavilion at Italy’s Artigiano exhibition offers important marketing opportunity – minister

Egypt Ambassador in Rome Hesham Badr on Saturday November 30, 2019 opened the Egyptian pavilion at the Artigiano international exhibition, hosted by Italy’s Fiera Milano.

Addressing the event’s opening ceremony, Social Solidarity Minister Ghada Wali said the pavilion offers an important marketing opportunity for all crafts makers and artists to showcase their products at one of the most important handicraft exhibitions globally and the largest in Europe.

Participation in such exhibition is consistent with the ministry’s policy and strategy in creating marketing opportunities for craftsmen and members of productive families associations, not only to market their products, but to get acquainted with the newest worldwide and compete with the most skilled craftsmen globally with the aim to provide opportunities to make contacts with importers and exporters and to open new markets for Egyptian products, she added.

Our preparation has continued since last year when it was agreed with Italy to choose Egypt as the event’s guest of honor. Coordination was made with the Bank of Alexandria, the Italian Chamber of Commerce and the Italian Embassy to ensure an impressive Egyptian participation reflecting Egypt’s rich heritage in the handicrafts field, Wali said.

We were keen on choosing exhibitors from several governorates nationwide, she added.

As many as 3,000 exhibitors, including 50 from Egypt, are participating in the event’s 2019 edition, which lasts until December 8.
