The Global Health Exhibition today witnessed the signing of the final agreement to localize certain insulin products under the patronage of Minister of Health Fahad Al-Jalajel and in the presence of Minister of Investment Khalid Al-Falih and Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef. This agreement, made in partnership with the National Unified Procurement Company for Medical Supplies (NUPCO), Sudair Pharmaceutical Company, Sanofi, and Novo Nordisk, includes the localization of up to seven insulin products. This agreement reflects Saudi Arabia's efforts to enhance its production capabilities and its commitment to creating an attractive investment environment, thus strengthening its position as a regional center for the pharmaceutical industry in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030. The agreement aims to enhance the efforts of the government agencies, represented by the Ministries of Health, Investment, and Industry and Mineral Resources, in localizing the medical and pharmaceutical i ndustry, contributing to achieving drug and health security in the Kingdom.
