GLMC Highlights Role of High-Impact Sectors in Job Creation

Jeddah: President of the Islamic Development Bank Dr. Mohammed bin Sulaiman Al-Jasser underscored the importance of infrastructure projects as a key driver of job creation during his participation in a panel discussion titled 'High-Impact Sectors as a Driver of Job Creation' at the third edition of the Global Labor Market Conference (GLMC).

According to Saudi Press Agency, Dr. Al-Jasser noted that the Islamic Development Bank, which comprises 57 member countries and serves Muslim communities in non-member states, recognizes infrastructure as a cornerstone of development. He explained that the sector generates both direct and indirect employment opportunities, while strengthening logistics networks and related industries.

He also emphasized that infrastructure projects provide effective mechanisms for implementing and disseminating government policies across sectors and communities, thereby supporting inclusive and sustainable development.
