Germany vows more support for Ukraine

German Chancellor Olaf Shultz promised on Sunday that his nation will be providing additional support to Ukraine “as long as it is necessary”. This came during a joint Press conference in which Shultz and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky were extant, were Zelensky requested more ordnance pointing that his nations army lack modern weaponry as the undergoing international joint alliance amongst other nations is underway. On his part Shultz said Germany has set up a new EUR 2.7 billion (USD 2.9 bln) budget to support the Ukrainian cause, as they already have contributed EUR 17 billion (USD 18.5 bln) since the crisis began.

Zelensky also mentioned his upcoming tour of major European capital including Italy, Germany, and France to form an alliance force to able his country to free its lands and be more capable of countering the Russian forces. Under the contexts of Ukrainian forces overtaking Russian territory, Zelensky responded, “we won’t attack other lands and all we want is to free our lands”, while also adding it is possible to “defeat Russia”.

While also adding, that he insists that all possible initiatives suggested by allied nations are considered, stipulating that they cogitate that battle is commencing on Ukrainian land connoting peaceful resolve is encouraged for a suitable Russian withdraw from Ukraine.

Ukrainian President had arrived earlier today in Berlin to meet Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier before meeting with Chancellor Olaf Shultz, as he also will be heading to the city of Aachen later to receive the International Charlemagne Prize awarded by the European Parliament and the Achaen foundation.
