Riyadh: The General Authority for Survey and Geospatial Information (GEOSA) and the National Housing Company (NHC) have announced a strategic initiative to integrate navigation services from the "KSA Map" and "Balady+" applications into a unified national entity named KSA Map.
According to Saudi Press Agency, this initiative aims to consolidate efforts and enhance collaboration among government entities, companies, and programs involved in navigation map development. The primary objectives are to serve national interests, eliminate redundancy across local applications, and ensure efficient resource use while maintaining sovereignty over geospatial data and technology.
Additionally, the initiative aims to develop a national navigation application that adheres to global best practices, providing a competitive local alternative to foreign products in the Saudi market.
