SUDANESE PRESIDENT RECEIVES PHONE CALL FROM EGYPT’S AL-SISI

KHARTOUM, — Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir received a telephone call from his Egyptian counterpart, Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, on Tuesday, regarding the situation in Sudan after heavy rains on the Ethiopian plateau and a number of the states of Sudan.

The Egyptian President expressed readiness of the Egyptian government, the Egyptian people and civil society organizations to undertake any effort to support Sudan in the floods crisis following the expected huge rise in the levels of the Nile River.

The conversation included a discussion of prospects of future joint co-ordination between Sudan and Egypt to meet the challenges facing the people of both countries.
